A great choice for compact living rooms where every inch of space is a premium, Denon's ultra-stylish and amazingly compact Denon S-81 shelf audio system will fit in perfectly and provide enveloping audio from your CDs and iPod. It provides 100 watts of total power (50 watts x 2) and it comes with two stylishly compact speakers. The CD player is compatible with mixes that you burn to CD-R/RW discs as well as CDs with MP3 and WMA files. You can control, play, and listen to your iPod through the S-81 using the optional Denon ASD1R dock--which will also charge your iPod (an iPod dock cable is included). It's also XM satellite radio ready, provided you subscribe to XM service and get an optional XM home antenna. A front auxiliary Input lets you connect any other portable audio device. The AM/FM tuner can store up to 60 station presets.

The acoustically matched, European-tuned speakers bring the most out of your favorite music. The 2-way bass-reflex speakers have a 4-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter, and they are video-shielded for safe placement near a television or monitor. The speaker output terminals have a unique shape with easy-to-handle one-touch cable connection jacks that are color-coded for the left and right channels.
